(OVERVIEW)OBJEKT is a fictional furniture and architecture publication exploring the relationship between structure, material, and form. The magazine presents brutalist spaces and objects through a restrained editorial language built around photography, typography, and composition.
(Direction)The visual direction draws from architectural publications and early print design, combining stark layouts with generous negative space. Steel, glass, and concrete become recurring visual subjects without overpowering the content.
(SYSTEM)A rigid typographic grid provides structure across the publication, while varied image scales create rhythm between spreads. Restrained typography, neutral tones, and precise alignment keep the system cohesive while allowing each photograph to command attention.
(APPLICATION)The system was developed across editorial spreads covering architecture, furniture, and material studies. Full-page imagery, paired compositions, captions, and editorial text create a visual hierarchy that shifts naturally from immersive photography to detailed observation.
(RESULT)OBJKT became an editorial system that treats architecture and furniture as subjects rather than decoration. The result is deliberately quiet, allowing material, proportion, and photography to carry the character of the publication.
